Sun-baked ochre needles produce a golden red brew that glows like an African sunset. Our organic wild rooibos from Wuppertal is more complex and flavourful than the dusty rooibos you find in a teabag. Caffeine-free and low in tannin. Notes of apple, honey and clove.

Origin

Wupperthal is a community of rooibos farmers in the Cederberg mountains of Western Cape, South Africa. Rooibos grows wild in the surrounding bush and the Wupperthal co-operatives have exclusive rights to sustainably wild-harvest the bushes every two to three years. The rooibos (red bush) leaves are green when picked, then watered and left in the sun to wither, ferment and turn red.
